Despedidas / Saying goodbye

Vai visitar-me?

The first thing I did today was to start packing some clothes and the knot I've been feeling in my throat for the past few days has become stronger, filling my eyes with tears I forced not to fall, because I've already had too much of it. I haven't yet managed to unty it, it's still here, along with a heartbeat stronger than ever and a stomache ache that says I can't make any food pass by it anymore.
How will I say goodbye to the people I will leave indefinitely? See you later? Don't forget me? Keep in touch? Don't forget me? Visit me? Don't forget me?
In the fine portuguese way, we have gathered aroung tables full of good food, with some music playing, we have been saying jokes and talking about it as if it is still a few months away.
It was, indeed. A while ago. In the meantime, time flew and in six days I will be moving to another country, leaving behing a big part of me.
I don't know how I will say goodbye, but this damn tears are still trying to beat me.
