That I'm aware of, I moved to four homes in my life. The first two times were when I went away and when I came back from Erasmus. It was a temporary change and I knew, from the beginning, that it would be over. In addition, I came home twice or three times during that period, so I could switch my winter clothes to summers clothes which, along with my books and dictionaries, were the only stuff I took with me.
Shortly after that, I moved in with my love. We brought all our stuff together, we jointly purchased stuff and we made ourselves home in a small house of ours, where all of it couldn't fit too comfortably. It was a big change that required many car trips with the trunk and the back seat full of boxes.
A few months later we moved into a bigger house, where all of our old stuff, the ones we bought together and the ones we accumulated throughout the years still fit very comfortably. It was another big change, although in the same city, that required lists in order not to forget anything or to leave some stuff behind.
Now I am getting ready for the huge change in my life, in a metaphorical and in a literal way. In thirty six days I am leaving my home, my city and my country. My love has already left and took with him a small part of his stuff. He left me, another part of his stuff, mine and our stuff behind.
I look around and I see so many things we bought, we made, we inherited, together with all the other ones we already had before, and I have no idea how we will decide what will go with us and what will be left here.
